Imagine yourself in a lush garden, surrounded by rose bushes, old cypress trees and many colourful birds. That is exactly the feeling the knotter of this rug wanted to create. An exquisite 90-year old rug made by the Bakhtiari tribe of central Iran. With a floral border and displaying several ‘golfarang’ flowe bouquets, indicating the inspiration for this rug also came from rugs of different tribes, namely Kurdish. Colours are plant-based. The pile is thin, making it a lightweight rug ideal for hanging on a wall as a statement piece, but equally suitable for being laid down. Make it your own!
